Carl, everybody’s favorite Arctic Cat fanatic, says he has the inside scoop on Arctic Cat’s new 2012 sleds and has the videos to prove it.

We watched his first entry and it looks like he broke in to Arctic Cat headquarters in Thief River Falls, Minn. to get the goods. You can check it out for yourself by following this link – http://www.arcticcat.com/video_feed/.

We’re not exactly sure why Arctic Cat’s official web site would be hosting this video, but sometimes it’s best not to ask questions.

Snowmobile.com will have full details of the 2012 Arctic Cat snowmobiles as soon as the information becomes available, so stay tuned for that. In the meantime, enjoy Carl’s antics.

Polaris will showcase its new 2012 600 Switchback Adventure as three members of the Iron Dog Ambassador Team ride the new sled on the grueling Iron Dog race course across Alaska, Feb. 18-26.

Among the Iron Dog Ambassadors on a new Switchback Adventure is Mike Bedard, Polaris Snowmobile Engineering Manager, Trail Performance and Race. The other 2011 Iron Dog Ambassadors who will ride the 2,000-mile race course ahead of the pro-class racers to promote the race and spread goodwill across Alaska are: Skip Boomershine, a member of the Iron Dog Board of Directors and the Ambassadors’ team leader; Mark Ivy, the assistant leader (who will ride a 2010 Polaris Dragon Switchback, a sled that has already run the Iron Dog route in 2010); and Alaska National Guard Lt. Col. Joseph Lawendowski.

Polaris history includes several milestone snowmobile trips throughout Alaska, as well as 12 Iron Dog wins (in 26 years), the most of any brand.

“Alaska is the ideal place for us to demonstrate the terrain-dominating performance of the new 600 Switchback Adventure,” says Scott Swenson, Vice President/General Manager PG&A and Snowmobile Division. “We’re excited to be part of the inaugural Iron Dog Ambassador ride, and are eager for everyone along the race route to see this versatile new model.”

Two of the most powerful snowmobile racing teams are joining forces to take on three of the toughest snowmobile races. Warnert Racing, one of the most experienced snocross racing teams in the lower forty eight, and Team CC, one of the most experienced cross country racing teams in Alaska, are announcing their partnership for three cross country races in February, March and April this season.

The joint team begins its effort at the world renowned Iron Dog in Big Lake, Alaska (near Wasilla) and concluding 2000 miles later in Fairbanks. The second race is the United States Cross Country (USCC) event in Warroad, Minn. on March 13 and the final race in 2011 will be the Arctic Man Classic April 6-10. Tyler Aklestad will be handling the driving duties at all three events and will be joined by three fellow Alaskan racers at the Iron Dog event.

BRP has decided to break rank from the rest of the manufacturers and not participate in the 2012 Sneak Peek. However, that doesn’t mean you won’t be able to get an early look at the 2010 Ski-Doos.

BRP is showcasing the complete BRP product portfolio with its Spring Ultimate Playground Tour, visiting select U.S. cities, along with a chance to win a $50,000 BRP dream garage.

Starting March 5 and running to April 19 with stops in traditional spring show locations for BRP’s Ski-Doo line, the tour will offer the first chance to see the 2012 Ski-Doo snowmobiles up close and personal.

As a special show incentive, visitors will receive a chance to win a $50,000 BRP dream garage – the opportunity to fill their garage with their choice of BRP products. Special coupons will be handed out at each tour stop and visitors can go online to check their fortunes.

The Ultimate Playground Tour, as a stand-alone event, steps up its offering by providing more products to view, interactive displays, product specialists to answer questions and more time and flexibility to look around – most stops will now be two days.

“Consumers have been asking for one venue to see all BRP products,” says Marc-André Dubois, director of marketing for Ski-Doo. “In today’s business climate, manufacturers need to be creative and address these changing desires. We have answered with the Ultimate Playground; a one-stop display of all BRP products which makes it much easier and a less time consuming buying experience.”

Customers can expect to see current CanAm ATVs, side-by-side vehicles and Spyder Roadsters, Evinrude outboard engines, plus SeaDoo watercraft and boats in addition to the 2012 Ski-Doo sleds.

Check out the full tour schedule below the jump.

Racer TV is expanding in 2011, creating a year-long program block combining coverage of the Can-Am Grand National Cross Country Series (GNCC), the ATVMX National Championship Presented by DWT, the AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship Presented by Amsoil from Loretta Lynn Ranch, and the ISOC Amsoil Championship Snocross Series. Racer TV will now feature 52 straight weeks of powersports programming, beginning on Sun., April 17, 2011 on VERSUS.

“Combining properties from four different racing series helps leverage us to an even bigger audience,” says Carrie Coombs, manager of Racer TV. “We’ve increased the episodes and exposure for GNCC, ATV motocross and Loretta’s, as well as the ISOC Snocross series. And the 52-week format means fans can tune in every Sunday and catch great racing.”
