Darrin Mees turned in his best performance as a rookie pro, finishing fourth in the AMSOIL Championship Snocross Series’ debut at a great new venue just outside of Fargo, ND. Robbie Malinoski kept his streak of podium appearances alive with a third on day two and the team continues to fill two of the top four positions in the standings.

For the first time in over a month, natural snow was not an issue as promoters at the Buffalo River Race Park constructed a Supercross-like track with long lap times and multiple passing zones. Despite opening with high winds and heavy snow on day one, an overflow crowd turned out on the second day of racing to witness the stars of the AMSOIL Pro Open class battle it out as the championship chase nears the end.

Robbie Malinoski kept his championship hopes alive finishing third on Saturday after having to idle through Friday’s final when his rear axle broke, causing the track to loosen and racket under full power. Malinoski’s finish was part of a Ski-Doo sweep of all three podium positions, the second time in back-to-back events.

This week the team travels to the north Minneapolis suburb of Elk River, Minn. where another great course awaits.
