The United States X-Country Snowmobile Racing series has cancelled the 2015 Seven Clans I-500 race, due Mother Nature’s lack of cooperation.

“Due to changing weather conditions, we are going to cancel this year’s 2015 Seven Clans I-500 race,” says the USXC’s Brian Nelson. “Predicted snow does not materialize and temperatures are much warmer than forecasted. I rode from Winnipeg to the Seven Clans Casino on Friday. At the start of the day, there was enough snow to run a three-day, 500 mile race, but the temperature was 40 degrees and snow was melting fast as we rode. The 10-day forecast is for above normal temperatures and below normal precipitation. We will try again next year and will have more time to make it a bigger and better event!”
