Another weekend, another pair of victories for Tucker Hibbert. The Team Arctic pilot swept the Pro Open races at rounds 11 and 12 of the AMSOIL Championship Snocross Series in Mt. Pleasant, Mich. at the Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort.

Hibbert was on point on Friday as he swept both qualifying rounds and cruised to victory in the Pro Open main event. Joining Hibbert on the podium was Adam Renheim in second and Tim Trembley in third.

Coming off a podium finish two weeks ago, Logan Christian was looking for more success, but an unfortunate incident in Friday qualifying resulted in an injury that ended his season.

Saturday did not go nearly as smoothly for Hibbert, as he struggled to a pair of fourth-place finishes in the qualifying runs. Kyle Palin, meanwhile, was on point and earned the top qualifier position.

In Saturday’s Pro Open main event Peter Nasr, who came from the Last Chance Qualifier, jumped out to a quick lead to earn the Stud Boy Holeshot. Hibbert managed to stay on Narsa’s tail in second place, but Narsa was able to keep him at bay in the early laps. Hibbert made his move on the fifth lap and never looked back as he secured his 10th win of the season in 12 Pro Open main events.

Tucker Hibbert Action

Tucker Hibbert has won a remarkable 10 of 12 Pro Open races this season.

Once Hibbert took control of the lead, Narsa did battle with Lincoln Lemieux for second. Lemieux eventually made the pass and cruised home in second, followed by Narsa in third.

“The track and snow was pretty good on Friday but on Saturday with it warming up, the snow got real slippery and unpredictable for racing,” says Hibbert. “It was tough to be consistent and get traction. The roost was really bad.

“On Saturday, I struggled through qualifying with my starts and dealing with roost from other riders. I was really focused on my start in the final. I picked what I thought would be the best spot to get the holeshot and it worked out pretty well. I was trying to get into the lead as soon as possible. I didn’t want to wait any longer than I had to. I was getting roosted really bad so I knew I had to get out front to get clear vision.

“I feel really good. With all the wins and big points lead it takes pressure off for the last two races of the season. I’m focused on finishing the series strong, rack up more wins and get the championship.”

Elias Ishoel swept the Pro Lite class in Michigan this past weekend.

Ishoel’s success continued in Saturday’s Pro Lite final. Daniel Benham earned the Stud Boy Holeshot, but was quickly passed by Jess for the lead. Ishoel then put on a charge and made the pass on Jess on the fourth lap to take over the lead, which he never relinquished.
