Team Arctic SnocrossTeam Arctic put together its best performance of the season at the AMSOIL Championship Snocross finale in Lake Geneva, Wis.

Tucker Hibbert continued his one-man stranglehold of the Pro Open class with another powerful victory in the Friday night program, locking up the points championship despite one more night of racing the following evening. A seventh-place start in the second final set up a dramatic come-from-behind charge that saw Hibbert narrowly miss his second victory of the weekend by just 0.23 seconds.

Team Arctic Race Manager Mike Kloety summarized Hibbert’s performance at Lake Geneva and the entire ISOC season: “Once again we’re in awe of Tucker Hibbert. He dominated the Friday night program like he has done at nearly every race this season, winning by a huge margin. His seventh-to-almost-winning run in Saturday’s program was a huge win for snocross fans who were treated to another amazing display of speed and cunning to pass other riders on a one-line track that produced single-file racing most of the weekend. The drama of that final was exhilarating! And the success of his championship-winning was nothing less than incredible.”

Aaron Christensen USXCAaron Christensen wrapped up the season finale of the inaugural United States X-Country (USXC) snowmobile racing series in grand style, winning both the Pro Open and Pro 600 classes at the Seven Clans Casino – Warroad 100 in Warroad, Minn.

The eighth race on the 2012-2013 schedule, the Warroad 100 featured a 10-mile course built along the shores of Lake of the Woods. The short course had ample snow and got extremely rough as the day wore on, challenging riders’ conditioning and suspension setups.

Christensen (Polaris) started the day off winning the four-lap Speedwerx Pro Open race, posting a time 30 seconds faster than second place Polaris rider Bobby Menne and 44 seconds faster than third place Arctic Cat rider Zach Herfindahl. Arctic Cat rider Wes Selby finished fourth and Yamaha rider Ben Lindbom came in fifth.

The 10-lap, 100-mile DRIFT Racing Pro 600 race proved to be brutally rough and tested the machines and the riders. Christensen finished atop the time charts again besting Herfindahl by 51 seconds and Menne by over five minutes. Polaris riders Spencer Kadlec and Ryan Faust rounded out the Top 5.

Today Show Visits Arctic Cat FactoryToday Show Correspondent, Sara Haines visited Arctic Cat‘s Thief River Falls, Minn. factory to film a segment for an upcoming episode of the show.

Arctic Cat put Haines to work and taught her how to build a 2014 ZR 6000 El Tigre on the assembly line. She loaded the robotic self-piercing rivet cells, installed shocks, hoods and even windshields.

“We were amazed at how quickly Sara adapted to working on our snowmobile assembly line,” says Troy Skime, Arctic Cat manufacturing manager. “We would be honored to hire her, and most importantly, the ZR 6000 El Tigre she assembled passed our inspection.”

Arctic Cat Roger Skime SnowWhile most of us are only dreaming of seeing enough snow at this time of year to warm up the sleds, Arctic Cat headquarters in Thief River Falls, Minn. got an early gift from Mother Nature.
