Leave it to Top Gear, the highly entertaining British motorsports show, to come up with a race that pits a Polaris snowmobile against a high-powered off-road buggy in a race across a lake in Iceland.

Let’s be honest, the race really doesn’t make a lick of sense…but who cares. Don’t you want to know who wins? Aren’t you just a bit curious? Well you can satisfy that curiosity by watching the video below the jump.

We actually stumbled across this video thanks to an article on The Telegraph’s website. The article features a handful of bizarre races concocted by the curious minds at Top Gear – like a Jaguar XKS vs. a Land Rover in an ice slalom competition and a 1000-horsepower Bugatti Veyron battling it out against a Eurofighter Typhoon fighter jet.

We found a video recently of snowmobilers scaling a steep reservoir wall and it left the lot of us absolutely stunned.

The video features two snowmobilers in Iceland playing around in a reservoir. The first thing we wondered was how they were going to get out. The walls are high and steep and there doesn’t appear to be a logical exit.
