Few would question that one of the toughest tests of man and machine ever devised is the Tesoro Iron Dog, a 2,000-mile snowmobile (or snowmachine if you’re from the 49th state) race across Alaska.

While only a select few compete in this epic race every year, some adventurous filmmakers have tried to capture as much of the action and as possible in a new documentary called Iron Dog: Seven Days to Survive. We haven’t seen it yet, but there is a three-minute trailer available and we’ve included it at the bottom of this post. Enjoy.

It may seem like forever, but snowmobile season really is close by. To help tide you over until you can ride again we found a very cool deep-powder video on YouTube that should get your blood pumping.

Fair warning…this video will have you aching to fire up your snowmobile. If you don’t have the will power to hold off you probably shouldn’t watch.
