“It has been rewarding these last couple years to be involved in such an important cause,” says John Summers, director of marketing for Klim. “Many of us at Klim have been closely affected by this terrible disease; not unlike most Americans. This year we wanted to do more. In celebration of breast cancer awareness month (October) we are announcing the new Pink Ribbon Wrap”.
Klim recently began offering sled wraps and will now offer several varieties with a Pink Ribbon theme. According to Klim, 100 percent of the profit from this wrap will be donated to the Pink Ribbon Riders.
This most recent donation is in addition to Klim’s Allure Parka program. A portion of the proceeds of each sale of a Klim Allure Parka is donated to the Pink Ribbon Riders to help the fight against breast cancer.
“This could not be accomplished without the help and support of Arctic FX who will be producing the wraps,” Klim says in a release.
The high quality wraps will be available for most common sled makes and models.
The Pink Ribbon Riders have a Breast Cancer Assistance Fund that is open to both men and women, applicants apply through the website for the financial assistance. In addition, Pink Ribbon Riders seek patients to help throughout the local areas they visit during the Annual Snow Run events that are held throughout the United States. Pink Ribbon Riders fundraising efforts are directed to a grass roots theory of people helping people.
Pink Ribbon Riders Mission Statement:
The Pink Ribbon Riders mission is to promote awareness of breast cancer in the motor sports
industry for both men and women while raising funds for those in need. In combining these two
goals for our organization we hope to bring people in the community closer as this disease not
only affects those diagnosed but also those who love them. "Riding in honor, and in memory, of
those we love".
