The sixth season of the National Speed Association Pro Stock Snowmobile series gets underway this month at New England Dragway in Epping, New Hampshire.

This opening show is the first stop in the five race tour for 2010 and will present some of the best competition in this popular drag racing division. With speeds of just under 160mph and quarter-mile times in the low 8-second range, the NSA series offers fans an exciting and colorful array of racing competition.

A few veteran NSA teams will be competing with brand new Pro Stock snowmobiles in 2010, including last season newcomer Brittany Marston. Marston will debut a new, custom built PCS Performance Pro Stock chassis & suspension combo with lightweight SkiDoo body work. Scott Marsh and Eric Conklin (Big-E/Scooterboy Racing) will also debut a brand new PCS chassis for the 2010 season as will Mark Wakem (ASAP Signs).

Two new Pro Stock sled teams will be making a debut at the first NSA race in May. Steve Canty and Steve Oxley are both gearing up for the 2010 season.

Qualifying for the single-day event gets underway Saturday morning May 22, with two scheduled qualifying sessions before afternoon Elimination rounds begin.

All racing is heads up with a .400 Pro Tree and 16-sled qualified field. The event purse is possible with the support of great sponsors – Abbott’s Power Equipment, Millennium Technologies, MSD Ignition, Dalton Industries, Camoplast, Bangor Motorsports, Woody’s Performance, MicroBelmont, Land & Sea and daSilva Motorsports. The winner of the event will go home with $1000, runner up will receive $400 and the semi-finalists will each receive $100.
