Snowmobilers everywhere have been invited to Wiarton, Ont. on Feb. 2nd, 2010 as Wiarton Willie, Canada’s foremost weather prognosticator, makes his annual prediction.

Sledders will be in attendance to gently encourage Willie into predicting six more weeks of winter and, more importantly, snowmobiling.

“Snowmobilers everywhere are encouraged to take the day off or call in sick, and jump on their sleds and ride to Wiarton to help us celebrate Winter with Willie,” says Rick Collins, president of the Wiarton Trailblazers. “We will groom and sign the trail right to Bluewater Park in Wiarton and put out the white furry welcome mat for all those that ‘Ride the Willie.’

Powersports Live Snowmobile TV will be onsite in the morning to capture the event and record snowmobiler’s shout outs to Willie.

Riders are encouraged to be onsite by 8:00 am for the prediction ceremony at 8:07 am. Events are organized throughout the day for those traveling from great distances. Accommodations are available for those wanting to ride up the night before RideGreyBruce.com.
