2005 polaris edge frontier 800 touring

i just bought this sled tonight and all i can say is the power isnt thyere i have a hard time to get 60 miles an hour is this normal for a 4 stroke motor. it feels like its holding bak. it rides very nice from 40 - 50 miles an hour give it gas and sounds like a cow. it doesnt have any pep cant spind...
