Water certainly provides a softer landing than hitting compacted dirt, but this guy probably wishes he was landing in about six feet of fresh powder. Fortunately he was wearing a life jacket and it looks like he popped to the surface unharmed, but this video is a good reminder that things can still go wrong on the water.
