Yamaha has announced its factory snocross team for the 2007-08 season, signing pro racer Steve Taylor and semi pro racer Cory Davis.

“I’m excited to have these two talented riders campaigning FX Nytro race sleds on the WPSA National snocross circuit,” says Yamaha race manager Greg Marier, “We are looking forward to a great season.”

Taylor worked on the testing and development team last season and has plenty of riding experience on the FX Nytro.

“I have about a million laps on the sled already this spring,” says Taylor.

“Steve is a very smooth, finesse rider who is very creative in finding the fast lines on the race track,” adds Marier. “Give him the holeshot and he’s a tough racer to beat.”

Davis won the WPSA National Semi Pro Open Championship last season when he was with Arctic Cat.

“He has the talent and determination to battle for the win every time he is on the track,’’ says Marier.

Marier told Snowmobile.com that racer Yugi Nakazawa will work directly with the development team and will compete at select events.

“Having top pro and semi pro riders on the track every weekend not only gives our fans added incentive to come to the races, but it also increases our product development opportunities,” says Marier.
