I barely know Jake Thomas, but I do know that he needs our help after a snowmobile accident early this year resulted in serious injury, including paralysis from the waist down.

My only connection to Jake was through a video he produced for us last year about late-season snowmobiling, which is embedded at the bottom of this post. Because he works behind the camera, I don’t even have a photo of him. The image above is a frame from the video he shot.

Jake’s friends and family are trying to raise funds for his road to recovery, including retrofitting his home and vehicles and to purchase any mobility devices he will need going forward. You can help by contributing any amount you can spare by clicking here.

Even with all he’s going through, the husband and father of four doesn’t appear to have lost his sense of humor. In one of the updates posted on his GoFundMe page, he writes:

“As you can imagine the drugs used to mask this level of pain can be quite extreme so it’s been a week of nightmares, hot and cold, hallucinations, and some great road trips through outer space. Jupiter is quite lovely this time of year BTW.”

So help keep Jake in good spirits by leaving a positive comment on his GoFundMe page or contributing whatever you can afford to donate.

As mentioned above, here is the video Jake produced for Snowmobile.com last year.
