Carlson Motorsports’ snocross Pro-Lite athlete Andrew Carlson certainly isn’t viewing the snocross off-season as summer vacation. Last week, Carlson kept his racing skills fresh with a pair of class wins (Truck #1 and UTV Stock) during the inaugural race of the 2012 summer season at ERX Motor Park, and it was more than just an appetizer. This weekend, Carlson will head south to Mineral City Speedway in Fort Dodge, Iowa to compete in his first Can-Am IATVHSS race.

Racing in the UTV Modified class with his specially prepared Polaris RZR, the one-hour hare scramble format leads competitors through challenging natural terrain consisting of dense woods, mud, rocks, hills and much more. The race, and others like it on the circuit, test a racers skill and stamina.

Carlson is looking to race the entire IATVHSS series, while also attending as many ERX Beater-X events he can. The summer competition, combined with a training program is all geared towards the goal of podium results when the national snocross season kicks-off this fall in Duluth Minnesota in late November.
