2009 Polaris SwitchBack™ Turbo

a Tank that rips!

I bought this sled used in 2019 with a little over 10,000 miles on it. I really wanted a Yamaha but no long track Vector RS's were available anywhere near me. I came across this Switchback on Craig's List and decided to try it as it fit the bill spec-wise. Powerful 4 stroke, long track etc. I have t...o say, I really love this sled, Maintenance with oil change, trans oil change, track adjustments etc. were all a piece of cake. Having now puts some serious trail mileage on it and not having had to do anything except add gas I really couldn't be happier. If you set up the suspension correctly this thing handles pretty well especially given its substantial heft. Point it in a strait line and give er the beans she'll top 100 mph no problem. The sound of the turbo waste gate blowing off can be addicting. Adjustable handle bars are really a useable feature. My biggest pick about this sled would be that it doesn't get the kind of gas mileage that 4 stroke's are known for (13-15mpg) but I really blame myself for that since I have a heavy throttle thumb. i hope the 09 is better than the 08 cause i have one first of all they are very heavy so if you don't feel like a work out stay away now to the point my 08 is the biggest waist not one part of the machine has not been worked on from the motor to the computer to the tunnel you name it , it has broke ...the worst part of all do not look for polaris to help with anything they have very poor customer service and the way they go about things between you the dealer, polaris so i would advise anyone looking in this direction to turn around and walk away!
