Keith Curtis put on a show to remember at the Afton (Wyoming) Hillclimb this past weekend, winning all five Pro Men’s classes in which he competed as well as two King of the Hill run-offs. The Afton Hillclimb was this season’s second Rocky Mountain Snowmobile Hlllclimb (RMSHA) points event.

Curtis won the 600 Stock, 800 Stock, 1000 Stock, 800 Mod, and Open Mod class titles. He then won the Stock King title on his 1000 Stock sled, and won the Mod King title on his 800 Mod sled. Curtis said it was the fourth time in his career he had achieved such a sweep at an RMSHA hillclimb.

Polaris racer Erin Beukelman won the 1000 Improved Stock and 700 Mod classes, finished second in 800 Improved Stock, and was second in the Improved King of the Hill competition.

Also winning class titles on their Polaris sleds were Brandon Titensor in 600 Improved Stock, Cole Willford in 600 Mod, and Luke Rainey in 700 Stock.

Polaris racers finished 1-2 in five classes – 600, 700 and 1000 Stock, and 800 Mod and Open Mod – and they finished 1-2 in the Mod King of the Hill runs.

Along with his 700 Stock victory, Rainey reached the podium three more times with two seconds and a third, and he finished second in the Stock King of the Hill runs.

Polaris racer Jesse Hotchkiss won the Semi-Pro Improved class, then won the Semi-Pro King of the Hill contest. Andy Thomas finished second in Semi-Pro Stock and Semi-Pro Mod.

In the Women’s classes, Kaycee Balls won the Women’s Mod class, while Shelley Heap won Women’s Improved, finished second in Women’s Stock, and won the Queen of Queens run-off.

Polaris hillclimbers swept the Amateur classes, with Tanner Meyers winning the Stock class, Justyn Heater taking first in Improved and Kameron Devish winning the Mod class. Chet Marshall reached the podium twice, finishing second in Stock and Mod.

Polaris racers finished 1-4 in the Junior class as Tanner Meyers won and was followed, in order, by Jaden Cook, Brock Sharp, and Tristan Spencer.

The next event on the RMSHA schedule will be the White Pine Hillclimb at Pinedale, Wyoming, March 8-9.
