Just because Tucker Hibbert was going for his 10th consecutive X Games gold medal in snocross doesn’t mean the other racers were going to just let it happen. Sweden’s Petter Narsa took control of the snocross final early and held on for the victory.

Fellow Swede Adam Renheim finished less than three second behind Narsa for silver, while American Lincoln Lemieux was right on Renheim’s heels for bronze. Hibbert had to settle for a fourth place finish – a rare defeat for the snocross legend at the Winter X Games.

“There’s no secret that today was a big disappointment for me and my team. I know we put in the hard work and came to #XGames prepared to win. It’s hard but today wasn’t our day,” Hibbert said on Instagram. “Congrats to Petter Narsa and his team on taking the gold. He rode a great race from start to finish.” Watch the entire race below.
