    rmk assault
    By per(Owner), Jan. 7, 2009
I will start of saying that the Assault actully one of the few sleds that makes me smile from the time i get on to the time i get off.

This sled is pure awesome to drive, the handling is sick, its like tossing around an 150cc kid sled in the snow. Its so easy to handle its hard to explain to some...one that hasnt tried one,i've tried many diffrent brands and models, but this one is by far the best handling in powder. (this is ofcourse my personal opinion)

When it comes to the engine i have to say that im impressed with its power, the 154HP's are really there. And you can feel em all the way.

For the suppension and durability i just have to say ABOUT BLOODY TIME WE.
what i mean its time we finaly get a sled that is aimed for us freeriders.
This baby can sure take a beating!

But this machine is not perfect in any aspect. there are ofcourse drawbacks. the TPS is mapped wrong, way wrong. un also very sceptical of the reliability of this machine, first of polaris hade trouble before with their 800 engines, and to be honest i dont think this one will be any diffrent.

if the shocks arnt protected during transport you might end up with an ruined shock, so big tip is to keep the original shock protectors that comes in the box (if you didnt get em call your retailer).

and thanks to weight saving they removed some boggie wheels. witch wasnt the smartest move in the book, since now it eats the rails up. so evryone that uses your assault for more the driving powder be sure you get the extra wheels.

Overall im really happy with this machine, and is without a doubt one of the most fun sled to ride ever made to date. but as always its to early to say in the begining of the season, only time will tell what this machine is made of.

    pretty sweet

this sled hauled ass but has lots of running issues, lots of reflashes, one top end (recall) walker evans shocks pit easily, steering makes snaooing sounds from new. lots of issues but when it works it is amazing. the suspension eats up anything you throw at it. the riding position is near perfect. ...if the engine issues would go away i would recomend this sled. Engine failure
    By Charles Howse(Enthusiast), Mar. 29, 2009
Apparently the assualt has been experiencing engine problems. I know of three units in a small community that have lost their engines, (one of them twice) and Polarius does not have a fix.

These are 2009 models and it looks like the guys are stuck with poor quality machines.

Anyone else out there ...having problems in this area?

    Thanks,
    Charles

This sled is nothing but fun and pure excitement. It has a lot of power to weight ratio but it eats oil like no other sled I have seen besides artic cats Read Full Review

    Great Sled
    Jan. 23, 2013
Purchased this sled used in 2012 with 2400 miles. Engine had just been rebuilt by the dealership. Runs great and has taken me anywhere I've wanted to go. Lots of power and floatation is great too. Suggest running premium (91 octane) fuel for best performance. Noticable power difference with 87 oct...ane. Riding stance is near perfect and you can jump side to side no problem when needed. Read Full Review
