Arctic Cat, in cooperation with the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has recalled about 16,500 snowmobiles due to the risk of the front lower suspension arm cracking during use. This can possibly lead to loss of control, which poses a risk of injury.

According to the recall notice, Arctic Cat has received 13 reports of suspension arms cracking, but no injuries or accidents have been reported.

This recall involves all 2010 Arctic Cat Z1, TZ1, F, Bearcat, M, and CF model snowmobiles. All variations of color and model features of the models listed are included in this recall. These models were sold across the United States from June 2009 through January 2011 for between $6,800 and $15,000.

Consumers are asked to immediately stop using these snowmobiles and contact their local Arctic Cat snowmobile dealer to schedule a free repair. Registered owners have been directly notified about this recall by mail.
