2007 Yamaha Venture Lite

I am disappointed

Lots of track noise.

Handlebar grip/thumb warmers work less than half the time.

Skis are too narrow.

Electronic reverse was a major issue.

Gas is too touchy and it will almost throw you over the handle bars when you let it go.

During the break-in period, gas mileage was lousy, good after though....
We live in real cold conditions and there is always ice in the tunnel when it is cold. Right now, it must weight at least 100 pounds and it affects the amount of travel the track has.
When you stop after going through soft snow, the windshield fogs up, more that it should.
I am disppointed as it should be a good machine according to the specs.
It is fun to ride and I found the front gave good cold protection.
It has plenty of power and the passengers are always comfortable.
I bought it new last fall (2007) and I will be selling it very soon and I also know I will be taking a loss.
For warmer climates where you have a garage, a good ride, but for me, nope!

love the machine

I bought 2 2007 venture lites used on eBay. I take a 1500+ mile snowmobile trip every year w my buddy. In 3 years taking the trip, I had one day where the machine wouldn't start without help. I attributed it to -40 and a weak battery. I use it on groomed trails as a single rider. It does pick u...p and store a lot of ice under the tunnel but this doesn't bother me much as I feel it cools the sliders and makes them last longer. My riding partner replaces his sliders after almost every trip. It also keeps my machine cool as my buddies overheats on warm days. With the rear seat removed, it offers tons of storage and the old man seat makes 200+ mile days a breeze. The big windshield is fantastic too. I am somewhat of a novice rider so I can't say much about performance. It does what I want it too. It is a little top heavy and is heavy and hard to get out once you get it stuck. Although I think I wouldn't get stuck as much w a 144" track if I would keep my thumb on the throttle more in the deep stuff. Read Full Review
