2005 Arctic Cat Sabercat™ 500 LX

Great Sled for all types of riding

Hey there fellow snowmobilers! I have been riding snowmobiles about 18 years and love my 2005 Sabercat 500 LX. It not only looks good in its all black outfit, it is quick, reliable, and comfortable. The 500cc case reed twin offers up 80HP and you can feel every one. It is just as quick as the 60...0s that I have raced until about 65 MPH, at which point their top end takes over. The rear suspension is a great ride and have yet to bottom out. I am a 175 lb guy and like to ride the trails hard and hit the back country as well. The one inch lug track is great and I have not had any flotation issues in deep powder. It has a stud protector built into the rear heat exchanger so if you want to add studs there is no extra part to buy like other models require. Great Family Trail Sled with Plenty of Power

I bought this sled as a brand new leftover model in March of 2006. This beauty came with electric start and reverse, mirrors, and had a really sharp black and silver look.



The shocks are plush and have been able to handle anything I have thrown at them. The engine is solid. Suzuki 500cc twin..., case reed inducted, dual carburetors, and around 80 HP. This sled is not the 500cc engine with APV (variable exhaust valves), however I have found it has plenty of power. After around 700 miles, I tracked my speed on a lake run with my Garmin GPS to 93 MPH. That was flat out all she had to give.

This sled was the first sled I bought brand new, and have not regretted it since day one. It is a great machine. If you want the super fast lake racer sled- you need a bigger engine. If you want a light and easy to handle machine with excellent fuel economy, this is a great sled for you.

Sabre cat bad ass

I have a 04 sabre cat I've owned for 10 years it has around 12 k miles bought it from original owner all stock engin starts first or second pull evertime this engine is bullet proof never been rebuilt still has great compression I love it rides and handle great it's 500 and I'm a big dude it's all t...he power u need use to ride Polaris but I wouldn't own anything else but an Artic cat sabre cat Read Full Review
